Howdy friends!
The recipients for The Highlights Foundation scholarships 2024 have been officially announced.
I am so honored to be one of the 115 storytellers awarded a scholarship this year!
While not on the official announcement last year, I was given the opportunity to attend their “Writing the Rainbow” workshop last year due to unexpected funding and I cannot even begin to explain how valuable that workshop was to me.
I have never considered myself a writer but that workshop gave me so much confidence and knowledge!
I’m still working on the story I developed for the workshop and I’m very excited to start working on the dummy soon.
It has been such a great and fulfilling personal project for me!
I cannot thank The Highlights Foundation enough for this opportunity and for believing in me!
This year I’m using my scholarship to attend “The Crash Course in Children’s Book Publishing: Illustrator’s Edition”.
I am beyond excited to jump into this workshop and continue learning and growing!
